Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya ('The Smoke That Thunders'), is one of the largest waterfalls in the world. Its mist can be seen from 30 kilometers away.

During the peak flood season (February to May), over 500 million liters of water cascade over the 1.7-kilometer wide basalt cliff every minute, creating a thunderous roar and a permanent rainbow.
Devil's Pool, a natural rock pool at the edge of the falls on the Zambian side, offers a heart-stopping infinity pool experience during the low water season from around mid-August to mid-January.
The surrounding national parks offer excellent opportunities to see elephants, hippos, and crocodiles along the Zambezi River, as well as some of Africa's finest white-water rafting on the grade 5 rapids below the falls.
